Burr and blade grinders

If you love coffee, then you may be interested in learning how to grind your own coffee beans. There are two kinds of grinders: burr grinders and blade grinders. You may use these for crushing your coffee beans into small pieces. Let’s take a look at both types and then decide which might be best for you.

If you’re new to coffee grinding, a blade grinder may be the easier option. BTB automatic coffee grinder machine are often more affordable and widely available. But they may not deliver the same uniform grind size as burr grinders.

The key differences between burr and blade grinders for coffee aficionados

Those who are really into coffee, known as coffee aficionados, often have burr grinders instead. This is possible because burr grinder can help you adjust the amount of water in the coffee when brewing, as well as the size of the coffee grind. Adjust the distance between the two surfaces to get coffee ground to the right size for your brewing method.

You may not be able to control the grind size with blade grinders as easily. The whirring blades can chop the beans erratically, creating a blend of fine powder and coarse chunks. This may impact how your coffee tastes.
